1 The course MAT1325 can be replaced by MAT1322 with the permission of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

*This course is offered in alternating years with the French equivalent.

This program is accredited by the Statistical Society of Canada. To satisfy the requirements for the professional title of A. Stat. from the Statistical Society of Canada, students must add to the Honours with specialization in statistics the equivalent of a minor in a field other than MAT. Contact the Department of Mathematics and Statistics for details.

The following courses are recommended for the students interested in pursuing graduate studies in probability or statistics: MAT3120 and MAT3121. Other courses in probability and statistics which may be of interest include: MAT4170, MAT4171 and MAT4372.

Some 3rd and 4th Year courses are offered alternate year with the French equivalent.

For students registered in the Faculty of Science: If the components of your program of study require common compulsory courses, you will have to replace the credits as follows:
1) 1000-level courses must be replaced with electives;
2) 2000-level courses and above must be replaced with courses from either discipline at the same level or above.

Please note that all programs in the Faculty of Science require a minimum of 12 credits from the Faculties of Arts, Education, Law, Social Science or the School of Management. Once you have decided on the replacement courses, please inform the Office of Undergraduate Programs of the Faculty of Science by email at infosci@uOttawa.ca so we may amend your Rabaska audit accordingly.
