It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Graduate Studies website for the Faculty of Science. Our faculty is one of the strongest in Canada, with researchers who are leaders in their fields.  Our professors are committed to the idea that graduate education is a fundamental aspect of research, and thus our faculty provides many opportunities for students to collaborate with professors in research at the highest level.

On this webpage, you will find information about each of our departments, the courses they offer and opportunities for graduate study.  We have departments of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics. Each has its own webpage, with links for its professors. The majority of our professors also have individual websites, describing their own research.  If you are considering doing graduate studies at U. Ottawa, I urge you to explore these pages; I have no doubt you will be impressed by the variety of research we offer.

In addition to the departments listed above, you will find information on various interdisciplinary programs our faculty offers, such as biostatistics, bionformatics and environmental toxicology programs. We understand that the best science can cross boundaries, and you will find within our faculty many interdisciplinary collaborations taking place.

We are also committed to financially supporting our graduate students, and you will find within these pages descriptions of the generous financial packages we offer.
