The Rules
For the AVANCE 300
Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm: 10 minute (maximum)
booked time slots.
These slots can only be booked on the current day.
People requiring more time during the day to carry out
non-routine measurements can come and make arrangements with the NMR Facility
staff who will book time on their behalf.
Illegally booked slots will be cancelled without notice.
Mon-Fri 5:00pm - 8:00pm: 60 minute (maximum) booked time slots.
These slots can be booked two days in advance.
Mon-Fri 8:00pm - 8:00am: 12 hour (maximum) time slots.
These slots can be booked two days in advance.
Weekends (Saturday 8:00 am - Monday 8:00 am):12 hour (maximum) time slots.
These slots can be booked two days in advance.
Time for one user cannot be booked by
another user.
For the AVANCE 500
Rule 1: Trained users can begin their overnight acquisitions no earlier
than 6:00 pm.
Rule 2. Time can be booked at most 2 days in advance.
For the INOVA 500
Time can be booked up to 2 days in advance
For the AVANCE 200
Unlimited time slots (within reason) can be
booked.
When booking time over the
web, enter your name, your supervisor’s name and your telephone extension.
When finished using the spectrometer, phone
the next user to let them know the instrument is free.
For the AVANCE 400

For the AVANCE II 300
Mon.-Fri. 8:00am - 5:00pm: Up to 2 consecutive hours of
time can be booked by any one user. These slots can be booked up to 1 week in
advance.
Mon.-Fri. 5:00pm - 8:00pm: Up to 3 consecutive hours of time can be booked by
any one user. These slots can be booked up to 1 week in advance.
Mon.-Fri. 8:00pm - 8:00am: Up to 12 consecutive hours of time can be booked by
any one user. These slots can be booked up to 1 week in advance.
Weekends (Saturday 8:00 am - Monday 8:00 am) and holidays: Up to 48 consecutive
hours of time can be booked by any one user. These slots can be booked up to 1
week in advance.
When necessary, the NMR Facility staff may book time in excess of these amounts
to accommodate service requests. Such time bookings will be entered as “NMR Lab
for……….”.
Time slots for one user cannot be booked by another user.
Illegally booked time slots will be cancelled without notice.
